Give your children their flowers
Even as adults you feel special when acknowledged for something you’ve done. Whether it’s a completed project at work, a mom task or even just something minor like preparing a nice meal for your family. Just like we enjoy being acknowledged and thanked, children do too. We should “give children their flowers”. They say give people their flowers while they can still smell them. This applies to little ones too. Especially with everything going on in the world today. Thank them, appreciate them, let them know they are doing a good job, and encourage them. But most importantly LOVE ON THEM! Here are some simple ways to love on them :
Supply unlimited hugs and kisses. One day they won’t want them anymore so get them in while you can.
Give a random thank you. For example I always thanks my toddler for being such an amazing big sister.
Applaud them for completing a task. When my daughter learns a new word and writes it, I make a big deal. High fives, chants and all.
Or Buy them actual flowers to make their day.
